Since I’m wrapping up my short story, “The Amalfi Rescue,” I need a book cover. (It won’t be a print short story but a PDF. Yet, I still need an appealing cover.) To help you select the cover, here’s context for “The Amalfi Rescue.”
Twelve-year-old Garrett Bettencourt is vacationing in Italy with his family. He is visiting Amalfi, a quaint tourist town in the Campania region. Desiring to be a professional photographer one day, he’s taking photos of Saint Andrew’s Cathedral.
As he’s about to capture a photo of an eagle flying over the cathedral, when a young girl accidentally ruins the shot. After his temper dies down, he realizes she might be lost as she sits on the steep steps of the Cathedral. (It helps he finds her very cute.)
Through this encounter, he realizes sometimes the best surprises arise from unexpected and often unwelcome inconveniences. They often test our patience, our hopes, and our desires, but enhance our life.
So, please select the cover you think works best. Thank you.
